Event: Deck The Halls, A Christmas Craft Market

It’s that time of year again!

Deck The Halls Christmas Market is happening this weekend.

This will be the third year of Deck The Halls (and my third as a vendor), and if you haven’t been to this show before, oh man, you’re in for a treat.

The event takes place at St. Patrick’s Church Museum. Dating back to 1828, St. Patrick’s is the oldest Roman Catholic church in Cape Breton. Full of history, this beautiful building has stone walls, original wood beams, and a warm ambiance. Plus, the organizer of this event, Joan MacKenzie of My Fair Ladies, decorates the museum so artfully that the already-beautiful location is transformed into the epitome of Christmas.

And then there are the vendors. We’re talking art prints, jewelry, pottery, rug hooking, glass, weaving, soap, chocolate, scarves, and that just touches the surface. So much talent under one roof, so many wonderful items to choose from for holiday gift-giving, all while basking in what can only be described as the perfect Christmas preview.

It truly doesn’t get any better than this!
